Program
Day 1
Arrival in Islamabad, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit of the twincities
Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Overnight in hotel.Day 2
Islamabad - Sargodha. After early breakfast we drive by jeep to Sargodha via Rohtas
Fort and Salt Range. Rhotas Fort is one of the most extraordinary example of military
architectures on the subcontinent. The fort is now in ruins except for crenellated outer
walls and most of its 12 gates and 68 bastionds, but the site is vast enough to deserve a
visit of three or four hours. We stay overnight in Sargodha. Drive from Rhotas Fort to
Khewra, which is famous for its Salt Range. The Salt Range is geologically and
historically important and has some pleasant places to visit. Transfer to hotel for an
overnight stay. |

Day 3
Sargogha Lahore. We drive to Lahore which is the capital of Punjab. It is
Pakistans cultural and intellectual center. The faded elegancy, busy streets, bazaars and
a wide variety of Islamic and British culture make this city of atmosphere, surprises and
contrasts.
Day 4
Lahore excursion. Early in the morning we drive by jeep to the famous Badshahi Mosque
and the Fort of Shahi Qilla. After that we continue to Shalimar garden. After lunch we
visit the museum and then the bazaar. Overnight in hotel. |

Day 5
Lahore Multan via Harappa. After early breakfast we leave by jeep to Harappa.
Harappa dates back to the 3rd million BC and is the 2nd most
important site of the Indus valley civilization. In the afternoon we will proceed to
Multan. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6
Multan. Full day excursion around Multan city. Multan is the most important city of
lower Punjab. It is full of unexpected treasures. The Tomb of Rukn-e-Alam we really ought
to see. There are many historical and archeological sites at the city. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7
Multan Bahawalpur. After early breakfast we drive to Bahawalpur, en route lunch
at a truck hotel. After lunch we proceed to Bahawalpur which was rebuilt in 1748 by the
Nawab on an old
site. Its wide tree-lined streets and large houseswith arched
verandas give it an air of calm speciousness. Bahalwapur is small but prosperous, and
its an ideal starting point for safaris into the Cholistan desert. Overnight in
hotel. |

Day 8
Bahalwapur - Lal Suhanra Fort Abbas. After an early breakfast we carry on by
jeep to Fort Abbas and stop en route at Lal Suhanra National Park. Then we proceed to
explore Fort Abbas. Overnight in camp.
Day 9
Fort Abbas Dingarh. After an early breakfast we reach Dingarh and set up our
camp.
Day 10
Dingarh Derawar Fort. In the morning we ride on camels back then we drive to
Derawar Fort by jeep. The massive fort towers over the surrounding semi-desert are visible
from miles around. The marble and blue tiled tomb of the knights and their families lies a
few hundred yards to the East of the Fort. We spend the rest of the day to admire this
unique site. Overnight in camp.
Day 11
Derawar Fort Uch Sharif. Uch Sharif means "The High Place". The small
town of Uch Sharif is built around a hill overlooking the confluence of the rivers Sutluj
and Chinab. It is famous for its exquisite Sufi Shrines which are open for public. Uch is
well worth a visit. We set up the camp to stay overnight.
Day 12
Uch Sharif Rahim Yar Khan. After early breakfast we go to Bongh to see one of
the most magnificent, beautiful painted mosque in Pakistan. Overnight in Rahim Yar Khan in
a hotel.
Day 13
Rahim Yar Khan Bahalwapur. Overnight in hotel.
Day 14
Bahalwapur Karachi. After breakfast assemble to the airport. Flight to Karachi.
Overnight in Karachi.
Day 15
Onward flight. Khuda hafiz!
